Contest Description:
Numerical Analysis of the Detailed Effects of a Bullet Passing Through a Human Cranium The objective of this contest is to produce a preliminary study about the fatal shot received by president John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963. We are starting under the premise that the shot came from ahead, as you can see in these 3 animations. (1) Minimalist, from above: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5oMYjHEQkEQ (2) With CFD: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-G11nq5Pa4 (3) Lateral view with more realism: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tB6eB2lXBk8 What you see there is my hypothesis and I need your help proving it. Later projects will involve fine-tuning this study, disproving competing explanations (or even this one!). Your job is to submit a strategy and justify it. For example, you could start as follows: "We should do this by Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation of brain matter in 2D using an ideal oval because such and such ..." or "The Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of a mesh of cranium bones will produce more precise results". Providing some sort of visualization will obviously influence the selection of the winning bid. All the source code and files used and produced will become my property. Open Source Software is preferred. You may have access to the following resource: https://www.cgstud.io/3d-model/human-skeleton-maya-rigged-38575 I can be persuaded to increase the amount paid, or we can work in follow-up projects. Even if you don't win, the contestants with the best entries will be invited to future projects. This is only the first step of a long trip. I intend this to become a more and more detailed study, along the coming months, perhaps years. If you are some sort of genius who has trouble communicating and sharing his knowledge with people of average intelligence, you should probably abstain. All this will be explained in simple, yet credible terms, not only to me but potentially (and hopefully) to millions of people. Important Note: I prefer to use the "Private Message Board" interface for all communications, because it is much better than the alternative.
